Together we can create a call for action both in developed and developing countries to ensure no one is left behind.

At SOCENTCPH, we are constantly asking ourselves how much progress have we made? As partners, what is needed to achieve the 2030agenda? How can we ensure the needed resources to effectively mobilize and monitor our progress and in general what else can we do to help?

Along with our partners, we are taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts through cinema. The Arctic Film Festival is a sustained effort to empower film directors about the importance of social impact films and educate the general public about the implications that global warming brings to our lives.

Thus, together with HF Productions we aim to improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning.

Feature Award

As a highlight to our commitment to climate action, for our inaugural edition, we will be selecting a winner for our featured SDG Award.

The Arctic Film Festival recognizes outstanding achievements and innovative film efforts to promote climate action on the sustainable development goals. It is an opportunity to recognize filmmakers who are not only taking action but providing an inspiring example for other film industry leaders to follow.

This award will go to the team that, through film, capture powerful human stories to help communicate the importance of climate change and the SDGs to people’s lives. Each submission will be evaluated against the degree to which actions were deemed to be transformative, inclusive and impactful.

The SDGs and Targets that will be considered for selecting this year’s winner will be:
